Knoxville, TN - Dylan Sampson's 1-yard touchdown run in overtime propelled the No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers to a hard-fought 23-17 win over the Florida Gators on Saturday night.

Trey Smack's missed 47-yard field goal attempt in overtime gave Tennessee the opportunity to seal the win. Earlier, Sampson's 23-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter put the Volunteers ahead. Florida's DJ Lagway tied the game with a 27-yard TD pass to Chimere Dike with 29 seconds remaining.


Sampson Shines


Sampson rushed for 112 yards and scored three touchdowns, including the game-winner. His performance helped Tennessee overcome a slow start, as Florida jumped out to a 10-0 lead.
